Free research participation

Contribute a conversation to real-world hearing research

You contribute one real-world conversation. We return a free research report. Together, those recordings help improve how everyday hearing difficulty is studied.

Frequently asked questions

What audio formats are accepted?

We accept .m4a, .wav, and .mp3 files. iPhone Voice Memos and common phone recording apps work well.

How long should the recording be?

At least 5-10 minutes of natural conversation gives the research more context. Recordings of 20-30 minutes may surface more patterns.

Does every speaker need to consent?

Yes. Tell everyone in the conversation that the recording will be submitted for hearing research. The form asks you to confirm that every speaker agreed.

How long until I receive my report?

We aim to process and email reports within 3-5 business days. Samioo is a small research project, so volume may affect timing.

How will my recording be used?

The submission form describes the current consent and research-use terms before you upload. Please review those terms with every speaker. Questions about access, retention, or deletion can be sent to the Samioo team before participating.
